Carbon raiser, also known as a recarburizer, is an additive widely used in the metallurgy, foundry, and other industries. The primary purpose of using carbon raiser is to adjust the carbon content without introducing impurities.
Carbon raisers come in many forms, as carbon resources are diverse, but they are mainly divided into two categories: coal-based sources and petroleum-based sources. Here, you will find graphitized petroleum coke (GPC), a petroleum-based carbon raiser that undergoes graphitization, making it purer and easier to absorb, regardless of the application.
